Sheboygan Wisconsin is where it all began in 1874 for Jacob Vollrath. Starting with furniture and agricultural parts, along with cooking ranges, Vollrath found achievement instantly. Jacob’s son, Andrew, returned from Germany with a new knowledge of enameled cast iron. Jacob’s other son, Carl, patented this technology in 1889. The Vollrath family have been entrepreneurs in the cooking utensil industry ever since!
