FIG AND PROSCIUTTO PIZZA  (for your fancy guests)

Bold in flavor and a sight for sore eyes, this pizza sings salty and sweet together in beautiful harmony. The easy dough recipe listed here can be used for the remaining recipes that follow!

Fig and Prosciutto Pizza Recipe

  • All-purpose flour (2 ⅓ cup)
  • One yeast packet (2 ¼ tsp)
  • Sugar (1 ½ tsp)
  • Salt (¾ tsp)
  • Garlic powder (⅛ tsp)
  • Dried basil (⅛ tsp)
  • Olive oil (2 tbsp)
  • Warm water (¾ cup)

TOPPINGS (amounts vary depending on personal preference)

  1. Add 1 cup of all-purpose flour, yeast, sugar and salt into a large bowl.  Add garlic powder and dried basil.  Add 1 Tbsp olive oil (set the remaining olive oil aside to use later) and 3/4 cup of warm water.  Stir using a wooden spoon to incorporate all ingredients.
  2. Slowly start adding another cup of your all-purpose flour. Stir in more flour as needed until your dough forms into a nice, "stretchy ball". Make sure it can pull away from the sides of the bowl easily. You want stickiness, but you still want to be able to control it.
  3. Brush olive oil onto the sides of a new, larger bowl. Dust hands with flour and sculpt your dough into a round ball.  Add dough to the bowl, rolling it around the sides of the bowl, allowing the olive oil to touch all sides of the dough, cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Place dough in a warm place and let it rise!
  4. Heat oven to 925F.
  5. Allow dough to rise for about 30 minutes.  The dough should double in size. Deflate it softly with your hands and bring it onto a well-floured surface. Knead the dough thoroughly until smooth. Use a rolling pin to truly transform your dough into a circle of about 12 inches.
  6. Transfer dough to a parchment paper lined pizza pan and either pinch the edges or fold them over to form a crust.
  7. Use the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and a pastry brush to brush over the entire pizza dough before adding toppings. Using a fork, poke holes into the dough so that the dough does not bubble.
  8. Add figs and prosciutto to pizza dough.  Drop dollops of  ricotta cheese onto pizza using a teaspoon.
  9. Bake in the preheated Ooni Pizza Oven oven for 1 minute or until toppings are lightly  browned.  Add arugula once pizza is done.
  10. Use a pizza cutter and Enjoy!

You heard it right! All you need is your favorite boxed OR homemade macaroni and cheese recipe and the fast and easy dough recipe featured in the recipe above! PLUS some olive oil, shaved Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs…. if you fancy ;)

Macaroni & Cheese Pizza Recipe

  1. Follow pizza dough recipe above
  2. Make your macaroni and cheese according to directions on box.
  3. Preheat your Ooni Pizza Oven on to 925˚F (this should take about 20 mins). Brush olive oil onto your pizza dough and poke a hole in the middle with a fork to prevent it from bubbling.
  4. Spoon out macaroni and cheese onto dough. Sprinkle shaved Parmesan and breadcrumbs over the top of the macaroni and cheese.

VEGAN PESTO MARGHERITA PIZZA (the more classic pizza)

Pesto and Buffalo Mozzarella Pizza Recipe

  • Fresh basil (2 cups)
  • Pine nuts (2 cups)
  • Garlic (2 cloves...the bigger the better)
  • Olive oil (½ cup)
  • Salt
  • Lemon Juice (1 tbsp)
  • Fresh Vine Ripe Tomatoes (Heirloom Tomatoes are the bomb!)
  • Arugula for garnish
  • Fast and Easy Pizza Dough
  • Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella

    1. Preheat your Ooni Pizza Oven on to 925˚F (this should take about 20 mins). Brush olive oil onto your pizza dough and poke a hole in the middle with a fork to prevent it from bubbling.
    2. To make the pesto, combine basil, pine nuts, garlic, salt and lemon juice in a Vitamix Blender and mix well.  With the motor running, add olive oil in a slow stream and blend until smooth.  Season with salt and pepper to taste.  Set aside.
    3. Smooth pesto evenly across pizza dough.
    4. Thinly slice tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. Place tomatoes in a single layer around the pizza.  Add buffalo mozzarella and layer on top of tomatoes. Try our Wusthof Canada Classic Iron Chef Knife for thin slicing perfection.
    5. Bake for 1 MINUTE and sprinkle arugula over the top. Cut the pizza into slices and enjoy!
